Polycarbonate is a shatter proof type of plastic which has many uses including eyeglasses, aircraft
windows and bulletproof windows. Due to its shatter proof nature polycarbonate is certified by the National
Transportation Safety Board for transportation applications. TRUE BLUE CANVAS uses only Makrolon AR polycarbonate in
the construction of our POLYWINDOW marine enclosures.
Why Makrolon AR polycarbonate?

by Sheffield Plastics Makrolon AR polycarbonate is an abrasion and UV resistant plastic that has a glass-like surface hardness coupled with the
impact strength of polycarbonate. Additionally Makrolon AR polycarbonate is also resistant to the yellowing and hazing
found in other plastics used in the marine environment.

In addition to using the best semi
rigid plastic available for marine enclosures TRUE BLUE CANVAS uses the best fabrics and thread available to marine fabricators
nationwide. We use Sunbrella acrylic fabric and Stamoid vinyl together with Tenara thread.
